Liam Gallagher, the iconic frontman of Oasis, has recently responded with fury to his critics following the mixed reviews of his solo performance at Wembley Stadium on September 21, 2024. He provocatively referred to his detractors as “soft c*nts.”
Numerous users on X took to the platform on September 22 to express their discontent after Gallagher’s show, even threatening to resell their tickets for the band’s upcoming 2025 tour and requesting refunds.
On the other hand, many supporters rallied behind the Gallagher brother. One user commented on X,
“Coolist f*cker in Wembley last night Rasta F*ck them c*nts who’ve got their ears stapled to their a*se holes. It’s not a f*cking Jason Donovan gig; it’s RnR.”
In response to the backlash, Liam commented on the post’s thread, stating,
“Exactly what do they think this is, a f*cking pop concert? Soft c*nts can’t handle the punk rock vibes.”
Liam Gallagher Addresses Critics After Recent Performance
During his performance on Saturday, September 21, at Wembley Stadium, Liam Gallagher mesmerized an audience of 96,000 fans, just before Anthony Joshua defended his IBF heavyweight world title against Daniel Dubois. This marked Gallagher’s first concert since the highly anticipated announcement of an Oasis reunion.
He delighted fans by performing three legendary tracks from the band’s celebrated 1994 album, Definitely Maybe, which included iconic hits like “Supersonic”and “Cigarettes and Alcohol,”and closed the set with a vibrant rendition of “Rock n’ Roll Star.”
Nevertheless, some fans have taken to social media, demanding refunds for the upcoming Oasis performances, claiming Gallagher’s recent show did not meet their expectations. Following the concert, disillusioned fans even threatened to resell their tickets for the anticipated 2025 reunion concerts with his brother Noel on resale platforms.
Amidst the criticism, there were also fans who expressed their support. One remarked,
“If watching this makes you regret spending money on those Oasis tickets, then you shouldn’t have got them in the first place.”Liam also responded to various critics tweeting about his performance, challenging them on their perceptions. He remarked that those who labeled his performance as unenjoyable “soft c**ts” would never understand the essence of punk rock.
In reply to a tweet that praised his singing as “biblical,”he expressed,
“F**K THEM PU**Y HOSE.”
Another fan prompted Liam for his thoughts on the complaints regarding his vocals, to which he responded dismissively.
“To all those SH*TC*NTS who were crying about my ANGELIC TONES last night, you ain’t real fans; you’re just IMPOSTERS. If you do have tickets you want to get rid of, I’ll gladly take them off your hands. We don’t want the likes of you at our concerts next year anyway. LF*CKING.”
Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher Set to Perform in 2025
In 2025, Liam Gallagher will return to London’s Wembley Stadium as part of Oasis’ highly anticipated reunion tour, which includes seven shows at the iconic venue. The Manchester-born musician is ready to grace the stage alongside his brother Noel.
The Gallagher brothers have not performed together in 15 years; their last joint appearance was on August 22, 2009, at the V Festival in Staffordshire. Following a notorious altercation during the Rock en Seine festival in France, Noel announced his departure from Oasis shortly after, declaring that he “simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer.”
Since then, both brothers have focused on their solo careers. However, in August 2024, they finally answered the longings of fans by announcing a monumental UK and Ireland tour in 2025.
Despite the backlash against Liam Gallagher’s recent performance, Noel has yet to respond publicly to the critiques.
