The recent episode of Agatha All Along, titled “Darkest Hour / Wake Thy Power,” delivered unexpected shocks on multiple fronts.

One of the most heartbreaking revelations from the episode was the tragic end of Alice (Ali Ahn). Although her death served as a significant twist, fans have pointed out that, in hindsight, it feels like a foreboding event that we might have anticipated.
When a member of your witch coven possesses the ability to glimpse the future, it is nearly impossible to avoid gaining some prophetic insights. In the context of Agatha’s coven, that role is filled by Lilia Calderu, portrayed by the magnificent Patti LuPone. While Lilia has the gift of foresight, her visions are often imprecise and can appear out of sequence; frequently, she struggles to recollect the details of her earlier visions. Nevertheless, keen fans believe they have begun to connect the clues she has dropped.
Throughout the season, Lilia has made seemingly unconnected remarks at puzzling times. Her statements often lack clarity, and the other witches appear indifferent to her words due to their cryptic nature. Alongside her utterances regarding tarot cards that seem to relate to different characters, Lilia has also articulated fragments of thoughts that seem disjointed. However, in light of new perspective, fans are now piecing together these snippets, suggesting that Lilia may have been attempting to send a warning to Alice.
Could This Be a Warning?
Viewers have taken to social media to compile some of Lilia’s fragmented statements. In a notable scene from episode 3, “Through Many Miles / Of Tricks and Trials,” she exclaimed, “Try to save Agatha!” Meanwhile, in episode 4, titled “If I Can’t Reach You / Let My Song Teach You,” Lilia cautioned, “Alice, don’t.” It seems she made the first statement after the second, showing how tricky it can be for Lilia to communicate her visions in a coherent order when predicting the future.

If these two statements align, it seems that, unfortunately, Lilia’s warning was misaligned in timing.
Other viewers have also pointed out additional cryptic phrases from Lilia that might hint at future events. One fan suggests that the entire witch trial sequence might be a vision experienced by Lilia, although personally, I hope that isn’t the case.
I’m fascinated by the “I hated this the first time”remark. What if everything is part of an illusion created by Agatha/Billy, and Lilia, by activating her powers, can break free from this loop, leading to that quote?

The writing in this series has been exceptional thus far, and if this high standard continues in the subsequent episodes, I have a strong feeling that all will be clarified, making Lilia’s scattered remarks finally resonate. Here’s hoping for clarity!
