Lim Young-woong to Continue Seoul Concert in Tribute to Jeju Air Tragedy Victims
In a demonstration of solidarity and remembrance during this national period of mourning, acclaimed singer Lim Young-woong has confirmed the continuation of his concert in Seoul, dedicated to the victims of the recent Jeju Air tragedy.
The announcement came via Lim Young-woong’s agency, Fish Music, who conveyed the singer’s decision through a message shared with fans on December 31. The agency expressed heartfelt condolences, stating, “We express our deepest condolences to the victims and their families who recently died in the unfortunate accident. We also sincerely sympathize with the pain of all those who are grieving.”
Commitment to Fans and Artists
Despite the tragic circumstances, the agency emphasized their commitment to hold the concert, articulating that it was a result of extensive consideration. “We have decided to hold the scheduled Lim Young-woong concert after much deliberation in order to keep our precious promise to the fans who have waited for a long time, as well as all the staff and people involved in preparing the concert,”they stated, underscoring the importance of honoring their commitments.
Furthermore, they noted, “We will deeply engrave your condolences and do our best to prepare this concert with a heavy heart so that it can be a moment of sincere comfort and hope. We sincerely hope that we can all come together and overcome this difficult time together.”
Refund Options for Attendees
In light of the tragic event, the agency has also offered fans the option for a full refund should they choose not to attend the concert. “If you do not wish to attend this concert, you can contact the customer center by the day before the concert and receive a full refund without a cancellation fee,”they assured.

Lim Young-woong previously performed at Seoul’s Gocheok Sky Dome from December 27 to 29, with additional sold-out performances scheduled from January 2 to 4.

The Jeju Air incident occurred on December 29, when a plane departing from Bangkok attempted to land at Muan International Airport, tragically crashing into the outer wall of the runway.
