14 Fern (Eszter Balint)

Instead of recognizing the real threat in their midst, the town’s police officers—Cliff and Ronnie—brush off Fern’s clearly atypical death, attributing it to “animals.” This misjudgment sets the tone for a darkly humorous narrative thread throughout the film.
13 Lily (Rosal Colon)
Following Fern’s tragic fate, Lily, another diner employee, becomes the second victim. As she attempts to clean up, she quickly realizes she’s under attack and tries to fend off her assailant with a mop, but unfortunately, her resistance is in vain.
Both Fern’s and Lily’s dismembered bodies serve as a grim wake-up call for the audience, highlighting the film’s surprising ability to weave humor with horror.

Mallory adds a unique twist to the tale as she is initially already dead when the story unfolds. Known as the town drunk, her resurrection into a zombie form heightens the film’s absurdity when Cliff, blissfully ignorant of the undead phenomenon, unknowingly spends the night next to her corpse.
