Jeongyeon’s Hilarious TikTok Challenge Rejection Amuses Fans
A recent interaction between A.C.E’s Byeongkwan and TWICE’s Jeongyeon has sparked laughter among fans after the latter turned down a TikTok collaboration request. The reason provided by Jeongyeon was unexpectedly relatable, leaving her supporters in stitches.
Behind the Friendship
During a recent broadcast, Byeongkwan opened up to fans about his camaraderie with Jeongyeon. Despite Jeongyeon making her debut in the music industry prior to him, the two share a birth year of 1996 and developed a strong friendship during Byeongkwan’s two years of training at JYP Entertainment.
Subsequently, Byeongkwan debuted as part of the boy group A.C.E under Beat Interactive. His group recently made waves in the industry with their new song “Pinata,”promoting it actively on social media platforms, including TikTok, by participating in various dance challenges alongside other idols.
Collaboration Request Mishap
As TWICE prepares for their highly-anticipated return on December 6 with their 14th mini-album titled “Strategy,”fans eagerly anticipated a collaboration between the two groups. However, it was revealed that Byeongkwan had previously approached Jeongyeon for a TikTok challenge, only to be met with a swift rejection.
Byeongkwan recounted the amusing exchange: “Was it last Friday? I called and told her about their comeback and requested if we could collaborate on a dance challenge. But she replied, ‘I never hear anything from you, but you only contact me to film a challenge.’
Jeongyeon’s Relatable Response
Further delving into the story, Byeongkwan humorously noted that their conversation began with Jeongyeon asking, “Who is this?”, which led him to believe that she had deleted his contact. Though it turned out that she still had his number, his KakaoTalk was no longer on her phone.
“I was rejected instantly. So when they come back, I’ll go to their waiting room, give her our album, and plead on my knees for her to film a challenge. 😅” — 모모🌹 (@bubblyself)
Upon clarifying that he only wished to arrange the collaboration, Jeongyeon reiterated, “You only contact me for things like this, I’ve done it before, so no.” Despite this setback, Byeongkwan remains determined, planning to surprise her during their music promotions by presenting their album and requesting a collaborative video while on his knees.
Fans Rally Behind Jeongyeon
Fans of both A.C.E and TWICE found themselves siding with Jeongyeon, understanding her perspective and recognizing that Byeongkwan’s approach might not have been the best. Byeongkwan himself admitted that he understood her stance on the matter.
Overall, this lighthearted exchange highlighted the charming friendship between the two idols, leaving fans delighted to see their ongoing, playful banter.
