Currently, MAPPA is engaged in creating the storyline for the ARK: Lost Colony expansion, slated for release in 2025. This new content aims to bridge the narrative between ARK: Extinction and ARK: Genesis, as announced on the official social media account for ARK: Survival Ascended.

MAPPA’s portfolio extends beyond television series, having also produced numerous films and music videos. Notably, the studio previously collaborated on video game adaptations, which included the opening animation for Persona 5 Royal and Jujutsu Kaisen: Phantom Parade.
MAPPA’s Upcoming Cinematic Endeavors
Currently, MAPPA is developing multiple anime projects, with the standout being Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc. Following the successful release of the first season in 2021, anticipation has been building for further developments. Although the film was announced some time ago, definitive release details were only revealed at Jump Festa 2025, where Tatsuya Yoshihara was confirmed as the director, maintaining much of the original team.
In addition, MAPPA is preparing to release a compilation film focused solely on the Hidden Inventory arc of Jujutsu Kaisen, examining Gojo Satoru’s backstory and his complex dynamics with Suguru Geto. The film will also highlight Toji Fushiguro, a notable character within the franchise.
During Jump Festa 2025, MAPPA introduced a fresh visual for the upcoming Culling Game arc, which will be part of the anime’s third season. Although the studio has yet to announce a specific release date, fans expect it to premiere sometime in 2026.
