Marvel Rivals Maps

As of Season 0, Marvel Rivals features four engaging game modes, each with its distinct maps. Below is a breakdown of how each game mode operates along with the associated maps:

Convoy

Marvel Rivals Convoy Game Mode

In the Convoy game mode, one team is tasked with escorting a vehicle to the far end of the map while the opposing team works to stop them by either eliminating the escorting team or contesting the vehicle itself.

At the start, the defending team can maneuver out of their spawn area to set up an ambush, while the attacking team is confined to their spawn for the first 30 seconds. Once released, the attacker’s primary goal is to capture the vehicle to initiate its movement. The vehicle progresses as long as at least one member of the attacking team is nearby, and it moves faster with multiple heroes in close proximity.

Each map contains two critical checkpoints. The goal for the attacking team is to escort the vehicle through these points to reach the map’s end, with a countdown timer adding urgency. If they fail to cross the finish line before time expires, the defenders win. However, reaching a checkpoint grants additional time, providing strategic advantage to the attackers. If the defenders manage to eliminate the escorting team, they can also capture the vehicle and send it rolling back, but only up to the previously captured checkpoint.

Marvel Rivals Convoy Maps

At present, there are two maps available within the Convoy game mode:

  • Yggsgard: Yggdrasill Path
  • Tokyo 2099: Spider-Islands

Domination

Marvel Rivals Domination Game Mode

The Domination mode centers around two teams competing to control a single point on the map known as the Mission Area. After a 30-second delay, the area becomes active, and a team member must occupy this zone until their progress bar fills completely to capture the point.

After securing the Mission Area, teams must fend off the opponent’s attempts to reclaim it, as the progress bar increases by 1% every 1.2 seconds. The objective is to hold this area until the bar reaches 100%, at which point that team wins the round.

Once captured, players do not need to remain in the area for the bar to progress. However, if the opposing team contests the Mission Area, the bar halts until the original team can reclaim control. Failing to do so means the enemy will start the capture process.

In crucial moments, if a team successfully contests the area when the opposing team is close to victory, the game shifts into Overtime. A Golden Bar will appear, which drains quickly if no enemy heroes are present. The bar pauses if any enemy enters the area, requiring your team to eliminate opponents to regain control.

This mode consists of three rounds, with victory going to the first team that captures the Mission Area twice.

Marvel Rivals Domination Maps

Currently, three maps are utilized in the Domination game mode:

  • Yggsgard: Royal Palace
  • Intergalactic Empire of Wakanda: Birnin T’Challa
  • Hydra Charteris Base: Hell’s Heaven

Convergence

Marvel Rivals Convergence Game Mode

The Convergence game mode is a hybrid, merging elements from both Convoy and Domination. Here, one team takes the offensive while the other defends. The attackers aim to capture the Mission Area to initiate vehicle escorting through two checkpoints to secure a victory.

Similar to the preceding modes, defenders can venture beyond their spawn area to strategically position themselves early on.

The maps available for the Convergence game mode include:

  • Tokyo 2099: Shin-Shibuya
  • Intergalactic Empire of Wakanda: Hall of Djalia
  • Klyntar: Symbiotic Surface

Conquest

Marvel Rivals Conquest Game Mode

The Conquest mode is Marvel Rivals’ take on classic team deathmatches, requiring players to manually select this mode as it isn’t available in Quick Play or Competitive options.

Players are divided into two rival teams, with each hero elimination dropping points that opponents can claim. The match concludes when one team accumulates 50 points or holds the lead when the timer runs out.

Marvel Rivals Conquest Map

Currently, the Conquest game mode features just one map:

  • Tokyo 2099: Warped Ninomaru
