Max Reveals BTS’ SUGA’s Collaboration on ‘Blueberry Eyes’ for 4th Anniversary: “I Wanted Him on This Project Badly”

On Thursday, September 19, 2024, American singer Max Schneider revealed the story behind BTS member SUGA’s collaboration on his song Blueberry Eyes, which was released in 2020. To commemorate the fourth anniversary of the track, Max shared photos and a video on his official Instagram account.

In the video, Max recounted his first encounter with BTS’ SUGA, highlighting their mutual love for basketball. He shared how special it was to take SUGA to his inaugural NBA game in the United States.

During their time together, SUGA requested Max to sing on his song Burn It from the Agust D project. Subsequently, Max invited SUGA to be featured on his album Colour Vision, and he accepted. Ultimately, Max disclosed how BTS’ SUGA ended up being featured in Blueberry Eyes, stating:

“The first song I sent him was actually a song on the album called ‘New Life’ but he wasn’t really into that one. I wanted him to be on this project badly, so I sent him the whole album and said whichever song you want to be on is yours. It’s crazy because I wasn’t even going to send him ‘Blueberry Eyes’ but he ended up choosing that song to be a part of.”
