Potential Crossovers: Insights from Mayfair Witches Star Tongayi Chirisa
Tongayi Chirisa, known for his role in Mayfair Witches, has teased exciting possibilities for crossover interactions between his show and Interview With The Vampire. As Ciprien Grieve, a character affiliated with the secretive Talamasca order, his storyline in the forthcoming season might intertwine with events from the Vampire Chronicles, a series penned by the renowned author Anne Rice. The Talamasca, which endeavors to investigate and conceal supernatural occurrences, has already made a cameo in the second season of Interview With The Vampire.
Chirisa’s Views on the Future of His Character
In a conversation with Screen Rant ahead of the January 12 premiere of Mayfair Witches season 2, Chirisa expressed enthusiasm about potential character intersections. He reflected on how, due to his Talamasca connections, Ciprien is uniquely positioned to encounter various supernatural entities. He revealed that the upcoming season would delve into deeper, more arcane aspects of the order:
I think for Sip, it’s not uncommon to encounter the supernatural. I think with what’s happening in season 2, Sip was a certain level of Talamasca agent until certain things start to happen that will finally give him access to some of the deeper secrets of the Talamasca.
As we see in season 2, there are certain advances that he’s now allocated, which are fantastic.
Chirisa elaborated that the storyline will directly reference pivotal moments from Interview With The Vampire and hinted at unexpected changes for Ciprien, leading to potential engagements with vampires:
Without saying too much, a lot of things go down in the season finale that definitely open Sip’s world up in a way that he was not expecting. Certain events [from Interview with the Vampire] are mentioned in Mayfair Witches, one of which could be the next mission that Sip needs to go investigate. He may have to pop in and settle some issues with the vampires — I’m just saying. I don’t know, but it seems like we’re heading that way.
The Significance of Chirisa’s Insights for Future Crossovers
Exploring Potential Romantic Entanglements
Fans well-versed in Anne Rice’s literary universe are aware of the intricate plot connections that eventually intertwine the characters from both Mayfair Witches and Interview With The Vampire. This eases the groundwork for a more expansive narrative within AMC’s Immortal Universe franchise. Notably, the romantic trajectory between Alexandra Daddario’s Rowan and Sam Reid’s Lestat creates an intriguing subtext for possible future entanglements.
While following Rice’s storyline is essential, AMC has a considerable narrative journey ahead before Rowan actively seeks Lestat out. With Interview With The Vampire season 2 hinting at significant developments, such as the release of Daniel’s tell-all publication, and season 3 positioning Lestat as a public figure—a rock star no less—it becomes apparent why Ciprien’s mission may relate to these dramatic shifts.

Caution Against Premature Crossovers
While the idea of having iconic characters like Lestat or Louis from Interview With The Vampire make appearances in Mayfair Witches season 2 is thrilling, it may be premature for such a crossover. Rowan must first confront the formidable challenge posed by the reincarnated Lasher. Moreover, the characters from the vampire series have their own intricate storylines that deserve resolution before any cross-pollination occurs.
Nevertheless, AMC is clearly laying the groundwork for an eventual convergence of these narratives, with the Talamasca likely playing a crucial role. Whether a romantic connection between Rowan and Lestat will materialize remains uncertain, but the possibility of interactions between characters from both iconic series continues to loom enticingly in the future.
