As a dedicated member of the Supernatural fandom, I can attest to the genuine spirit of the #SPNFamily. The upcoming Supernatural Convention in North Carolina, set for October 11–13, 2024, has fans buzzing with excitement—not just for the opportunity to meet the beloved cast but also for the chance to support hurricane relief efforts spearheaded by Misha Collins and his team. As someone from WNC, this cause resonates deeply with me!
The initiative kicked off with a tweet from Collins (naturally!). Just before he headed to the North Carolina Convention, he announced that the Supernatural cast, along with Creation Entertainment, would collaborate with Random Acts (Misha’s nonprofit organization) to match donations up to a staggering $35,000 for hurricane victims. This effort aims to assist survivors of both Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton. Can you believe how incredible this cast is? At the time of writing, they have already raised $16,000, and the fans are stepping up, once again demonstrating that our fandom truly feels like family.
I’m on a plane headed to NC where the horrific devastation of #HurricaneHelene has derailed so many lives. The cast of #Supernatural and @CreationEnt are working with @RandomActsOrg to do what we can to help survivors. With #HurricaneMilton bearing down on FL, we’re raising funds… pic.twitter.com/H76oXwATBT

The hashtags #WeLoveYouJaredPadalecki, #MishaCollins, and #SPNFamily are trending like wildfire, fueled not only by the convention but by the shared passion for philanthropy. Yes, fans are thrilled to interact with their favorite stars and catch a glimpse of Baby, but the real purpose of this event goes much deeper.
Although Jared Padalecki, a usual participant in these events, has announced that he cannot attend this year, his dedication to the cause remains strong. Demonstrating true Padalecki spirit, he has shared his support from a distance, which has caused #WeLoveYouJaredPadalecki to trend as fans come together to express their love and contribute to the relief efforts. Even in his absence, the impact of Jared’s absence is palpably felt. That’s the essence of Supernatural—always having each other’s backs, no matter how far apart we might be.
I’m so sad to miss #SPNNC with @CreationEnt this weekend!!I’m sending love and support from afar, and hope that everybody has a safe and awesome time.? Please stay tuned for ways to help assist those in need in the area!!!#AKF?❤️

Collins’ original tweet served as the catalyst for this remarkable fundraising effort. He has long been a passionate advocate for Random Acts, and his enthusiasm is contagious. When he reached out for assistance, the fandom immediately sprang into action. Whether contributing money or spreading the word, the SPN Family knows how to rally. With donations being matched, every contribution counts significantly.
While attendees at the convention are reveling in panels and photo opportunities, there’s a palpable sense of purpose permeating the atmosphere. The fandom is engaged in something meaningful, and it’s inspiring to behold.
By the weekend’s conclusion, who knows what we might achieve? Surpassing that $35,000 target feels possible, and if Supernatural has taught us anything, it’s that family stands united, persevering through challenges while supporting one another every step of the way.
Let’s achieve that goal, SPN Family. I have absolute faith in us!
