In this immersive experience, players team up with up to seven others to navigate through Mr. M’s winter mansion, which is notoriously haunted by mischievous ghosts. To restore harmony, the group must face various spooky challenges and intricate puzzles. Unlike other cooperative minigames in Monopoly GO, such as Partner Events and Tycoon Racers, this haunted adventure presents a unique twist. If you’re uncertain about how to proceed in this chilling minigame, our comprehensive guide is here to help!
How to Play Haunted Mansion in Monopoly GO
To embark on your Haunted Mansion adventure, assembling a solid team is essential. You will need to join forces with seven players, but don’t fret if all slots aren’t filled — incomplete teams automatically merge together before the game commences, ensuring everyone has a chance to join the fun.
If you feel the need to adjust your team composition, you have the option to exit before the Haunted Mansion event officially starts. However, once you begin with a complete roster, you and your teammates will work together until the mission concludes.
Upon entering the mansion, your team will receive specific mission objectives for each room. Tasks may include repairing broken items, locating hidden objects, lighting candles, or even feeding spectral beings with pizza. Interact with the various objects to initiate the Haunted Mansion’s distinct card game.
Understanding the Haunted Mansion Card Game
After engaging with an object, you will see three numbers displayed on the back of two gaming cards. Below these cards, the required number of Haunted Mansion tokens you’ll need to utilize for the challenge will appear. Tap on the corresponding button to start the card game.
Your primary objective is to draw two cards from a specialized deck containing 40 cards. The combined total of the two cards drawn must be equal to or exceed the number indicated on the gaming cards. For instance, if the playing card shows a total of 20, your drawn cards must sum to 20 or more in order to succeed in the challenge.
The results of your card draws depend heavily on chance. It’s common to fall short of the target number initially, leading to some token losses before hitting the mark. To enhance your likelihood of success, prioritize drawing lower-numbered cards first. This strategy increases the probability of drawing higher-value cards, facilitating completion of the challenge.
Notably, if you draw doubles (or even triples), you receive an extra draw, which significantly boosts your chances of overcoming the challenge.
Underneath each gaming card, you’ll observe blue dots. Each dot signifies a segment on the progress bar that fills upon successfully completing the respective challenge. A single dot represents one segment, while higher numbers typically feature three dots, allowing you to fill the progress bar more swiftly.
Every room within the Haunted Mansion presents unique obstacles and challenges for your team to tackle. Although each player utilizes individual tokens, collaboration is key to successfully navigating the space. Additionally, each room contains a hidden Treasure Chest that can be opened optionally, with only one player allowed to claim the treasure, so strategize wisely!
If you find yourself with excess tokens during the Haunted Mansion event, consider stepping up as a leader by confronting the major challenges. Doing so will not only help your team progress more rapidly through the mansion but also enhance your chances of claiming the ultimate reward.
