How to Play New Year’s Treasures in Monopoly GO
To participate in the New Year’s Treasures event in Monopoly GO, players will need to gather pickaxe tokens. These tokens are crucial for breaking tiles on the game grid to unveil various rewards. Each tile requires at least one pickaxe to dig, and the more tokens you invest, the better the rewards you may find. A preview of the treasure you need to uncover will be displayed at the top of your screen.
To acquire pickaxes for your treasure digging adventure, actively participate in solo events and tournaments. Currently, players can join the New Year’s Eve Bash banner event and the Firework Frenzy tournament, both of which offer hundreds of pickaxes as rewards.
Upon accumulating sufficient pickaxes, players can begin their excavation. Treasures vary in shape and size; as you uncover portions of a treasure, you’ll be able to discern its direction and form, making the task of locating the complete treasure much easier.
Every milestone achieved during the New Year’s Treasures event comes with rewards. Notably, players will earn the exclusive Top Hat board piece at the 17th milestone, the Party Time Shield at the 10th milestone, and an impressive 2,500 dice along with a Swap Pack at the final milestone.
