Montana Jordan from Young Sheldon Discusses Joys of Fatherhood After Welcoming Baby Daughter in May

Montana Jordan, the star of Young Sheldon, recently expressed his joy about being a father. During an interview with People at the CBS Hosts Sit-Down Comedy Event on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, in Los Angeles, the actor shared his thoughts on fatherhood and the arrival of his daughter, Emma Rae Jordan.

He mentioned how fulfilling the experience has been, stating:

“She’s (Emma) great, man. There’s nothing better than freaking being a dad. There’s nothing better, for sure.”

Montana Jordan announced the birth of his daughter with influencer girlfriend Jenna Weeks through an Instagram post shared on May 21, which included a photo of the Georgie Cooper actor holding his baby with the caption:

“5/21/2024 God has blessed me with a beautiful babygirl. Emma Rae Jordan, Momma and Daddy love you. Forever and always.”

In his conversation with People, Montana Jordan revealed that fatherhood has taught him patience. He has also begun sharing moments from his daughter’s life on Instagram, including footage of Emma visiting him on the set of the Young Sheldon spinoff series, Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage.

While discussing the challenges of caring for a baby, Jordan noted that he is an uncle to two young nieces. He said:

“She’s (Emma) 4 months old now and I’ve got two little nieces, a five-year-old niece and a two-year-old niece. So I’ve been around kids and I’ve always loved them, but I can give my nieces back.”

Montana Jordan also quipped:

“I can’t give mine back. I’m stuck with her.”

He quickly clarified that he was joking.

Fans were first informed about Jordan and Weeks’ baby in January 2024 when Weeks posted photos on Instagram of the couple holding sonograms in a field.

Jordan kept his fans updated on the pregnancy in April 2024 when he shared a post featuring the couple on the red carpet at the Country Music Television Awards, showcasing Jenna’s baby bump.

In his interview, Montana Jordan also discussed his upcoming series, Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage, starring opposite Emily Osment as Mandy. He explained that this new show continues the story from Young Sheldon, following the couple’s marriage and their move to Texas to raise their daughter, capturing the “ups and downs”of their lives.

The on-screen couple met during season five of Young Sheldon and had a night together, leading to Mandy’s pregnancy. Their daughter, Constance, is born in season six, after which they have a heartfelt conversation and ultimately marry by the conclusion of the Big Bang Theory prequel. The series wrapped up earlier this year.

CBS has ordered another spinoff focusing on Georgie and Mandy’s lives, which Montana Jordan announced via Instagram, writing:

“GET READY!!!! The Cooper family continues. Thank y’all for the support of Young Sheldon. I hope to deliver just what y’all are looking for in this new adventure.”

Jordan expressed confidence that audiences would embrace the new show just as they did its predecessor. He also praised co-star Osment, mentioning their excellent on-screen chemistry, and noted that she is very professional and a great person.

Montana Jordan’s Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage is scheduled to premiere in October.
