Monument Valley 3 Guide: Solving the Sub Rosa Puzzle in Chapter 10

Monument Valley 3 Guide: Solving the Sub Rosa Puzzle in Chapter 10

In Monument Valley 3, players embark on an intriguing adventure in Chapter 9, where they engage in a Rubik’s cube-like puzzle to save The Nomad. Their journey leads them to discover a new light source, Nomad’s Flower, which—though promising—is insufficient to fully revive the Lighthouse’s former magnificence.

As players progress to **Chapter 10: The Sub Rosa**, they delve into the concluding segment of Noor’s narrative until more updates are released. This chapter is instrumental in harnessing nature’s light, critical in restoring the Lighthouse. However, players should brace themselves for the intricate optical illusion puzzles that may pose a considerable challenge.

How to Tackle the Sub Rosa Puzzle in Monument Valley 3

The Sub Rosa is divided into four unique puzzles. Below are strategies for efficiently navigating each section.

Part 1: The Ancient Place

This segment challenges players with a captivating riddle centered on a giant flower and an ancient monument. The key is to manipulate the flower’s leaves to forge a pathway to ascend the structure using a pillar shaped like a monument.

  • Begin by positioning Noor on the cliff amidst a foggy ambiance. Activate the floor button to teleport to the ancient location. Pull the right pillar adorned with three orange circles to make the giant flower bloom, allowing its sky-blue leaves to forge a path. Align the leaves to bridge the lower and upper platforms, cross over, and proceed through the door above.
  • You’ll find yourself on a higher building. Pull the left pillar fully to create another leaf pathway. Navigate cautiously as the flower’s thorn may obstruct your way; readjust the leaves to match the platforms, ascend the stairs, and enter the upper room.

It’s crucial to note that you can only adjust the leaves while standing on the blue area of the flower’s stem.

  • Finally, make your way to the last building, which features two giant flowers equipped with adjusters and prickly hurdles. Start by adjusting the left flower’s leaves to align with the right flower’s base. Since the right flower also has a block, arrange its leaves into a half-circle, step onto its stem, and reposition both flowers to align once more. Elevate both flowers fully, utilize the left flower’s circular path, navigate above its stem, follow the leaf path to the second flower, and enter the door above.

Part 2: Inside The Ancient Monument

This section immerses players in a visually soothing puzzle, where the aim is to activate all three floor buttons to gain access to the pink door at the pinnacle of the structure.

  • Commence on the pastel green path, shift the block with three circles southward, then move to the purple block platform to shift the block east. Align yourself on the pastel green track with the first button on the right and activate it.
  • New elements will emerge. Lower the movable block beneath, rotate the yellow gear to the right, and head to the pastel purple base. Move the block with three red circles upwards and revert the gear to the left. Ascend the purple wall to hit the second button at the top.
  • Continue by climbing the stairs to the opposite side of the wall, adjust the block above, and descend back to the pastel purple base under the gear. Lower the movable block, rotate the cog left, then activate the third button located on the monument’s small balcony.
  • Retreat to the gear’s base using the pastel green track, turn the cog to the right, draw the movable block up, reach the wall, and proceed to the pink door at the top.

Part 3: Historic Landmarks

This segment consists of two puzzles, each featuring stunning architectural challenges. Your objective is to activate all five light green buttons to reach the top pink door.

  • Head to the second purple track, utilizing the movable block with three light green circles to configure the structure, then press the first floor button on the right.
  • Rotate the gear right and ascend the purple bridge. Pull the movable block down, approach the frightened geometric figure (the green one) on the right, turn the cog left, then rush to the geometric figure on the left to press the second floor button.
  • Continue by adjusting the gear left and pressing the button on the wall.
  • Teleport back to the bridge, manipulate the block above, and trigger the middle button.
  • Shifting the cog right, hop onto the slide, lower the block, and proceed forward to activate the last button.
  • A door will appear. To enter, navigate the slide, pull the block upwards, step off, rotate the gear left, traverse the slide, and leap into the pink door above.
