- Resolution of multiple bugs including significant memory leak issues and NPC-related glitches.
Electronic Arts has unveiled a significant update for MySims: Cozy Bundle with their December 2024 patch notes. This update not only introduces exciting features but also addresses ongoing community feedback as the developers continue to improve the game experience. The team has been proactively working on various bug fixes since the launch of the MySims bundle, allowing players to fully enjoy their creative endeavors during the festive season.
Originally launched in 2007 for the Wii and Nintendo DS, MySims is a beloved spin-off of Maxis’ acclaimed The Sims franchise. The game was re-released in 2008 for PC and mobile, and the Cozy Bundle made its debut on the Nintendo Switch in November 2024. While The Sims 4 is celebrating the festive period with its own Cozy Celebrations event, featuring themed quests and rewards, players of MySims: Cozy Bundle can look forward to additional updates that promise to enhance their winter escapism.
As highlighted in a recent blog post by Electronic Arts, the patch notes detail a suite of new features and fixes. One standout addition is the teleport feature, which allows NPCs to move to a safe location if they encounter navigation issues. Additionally, players can benefit from a 50% increase in item limits for placing furniture and decor, which encourages more elaborate designs in their virtual homes. To further assist gameplay, a new Pointer Speed slider has been integrated into the Options menu, giving players control over sensitivity adjustments.

- Memory Leak Issues Resolved
- Fix for Stuck Fishing Players
- Correction of NPC Voice Pitch Issues
The recent update has successfully tackled several bugs, including major memory leak problems, glitches preventing players from fishing, and even a quirky issue that barred players from naming their Sim “Sam.” Furthermore, this patch rectifies the behavioral quirks of NPCs during chase quests, unintended changes in NPC voice pitch, and the problematic duplication of characters. Another focused fix has also been applied to allow for proper skin tone randomization, enhancing the customization experience for MySims players.
Having been announced in August, MySims: Cozy Bundle brings together the original MySims and its sequel, MySims Kingdom, to the Nintendo Switch platform. EA has plans to introduce another feature in early 2025, allowing players sensitive to motion sickness to disable automatic camera rotation. Furthermore, the developers are addressing community feedback about NPCs struggling to achieve Best Friend Status within Kingdom, which will be resolved in an upcoming game patch.
