“Namjoon is a Vibe” — ARMYs Share Hilarious Reactions to BTS RM’s Comedic Instagram Story About Monday Blues

On September 16, 2024, BTS member Kim Namjoon, known by his stage name RM, delighted fans with a humorous meme shared on his Instagram story that sparked a wave of laughter among his followers. The rapper-songwriter of “Right Place, Wrong Person”humorously depicted the “Monday blues”with a meme featuring a man questioning the audacity of “Monday”seemingly appearing out of nowhere. This relatable post quickly resonated with his fanbase and went viral across social media platforms.

For those who might not know, the talented rapper returned home from his ongoing military enlistment on official leave to celebrate the Chuseok festival. Chuseok, also referred to as “Hangawi,”is one of South Korea’s most significant holidays. The period from September 15 to 19 is recognized as a three-day holiday dedicated to festive celebrations.

Namjoon also celebrated his thirtieth birthday on September 12, 2024, after reportedly taking a brief leave to return home for a day and share his joy on Instagram. He took another leave on September 15 to join his family in celebrating the first day of Chuseok. Following these festivities, he returned to the barracks on September 16 (Monday). In his second Instagram story, he extended a “Happy Chuseok”message to his fans. One follower expressed their amusement on X, saying,

“Namjoon is such a mood”

Fans flooded social media with amusing reactions to RM’s Instagram stories. Notably, some spotted his drawing of a pair of scissors in his second story when wishing everyone a happy Chuseok. In Korean culture, both scissors and Chuseok can sound similar to “Hangawi,”leading fans to suspect that RM was cleverly playing with words.

“Haha, Monday never knows when to chill! But no Monday blues during Chuseok! Enjoy the holiday while it lasts, everyone!”one fan wrote on X.

“For those confused about the scissors in his IG stories, Chuseok is also known as Hangawi (한가위), which can also mean one pair of scissors (한 가위). So he’s trying to say #Hangawi,”another fan commented.

“Wait, isn’t that the scissors that JK drew before during one of their Pictionary games and they kept saying it was a butterfly? Or am I reading too much into it?”another fan pondered.

Others humorously pointed out how RM seems eager to be discharged from military service and return home.

“I’M SORRY BUT THIS IS SO FUNNYSGJFS. GET MY MAN OUTTA THERE!!! HE SERVED ENOUGH!”another fan chimed in.

“Someone help him escape out of those barracks,”a different fan joked.

“Poor Joonie is like all of us when it comes to Mondays,”one fan remarked.
