Diddy pleaded not guilty to the charges against him during a court appearance on September 17. The judge denied his bail application.

On September 19, People magazine reported, citing a source, that the rapper is on suicide watch, although it remains uncertain whether he is actually suicidal. This measure was reportedly enacted due to his state of shock. Both Diddy’s attorney and the New York Department of Corrections have yet to respond to the report.

Prosecutors opposed Diddy’s bail, arguing he posed a flight risk amid the ongoing sex trafficking investigation, with concerns raised about potential witness tampering. Authorities also found weapons during the March raids on his homes.
