Captain America 4: A Historic Launch for Marvel Studios
Brave New World: A Potential Catalyst for the Future Avengers
After a rather sparse 2024, which featured only one theatrical release tied to a project stemming from the pre-acquisition side of Fox’s Marvel Entertainment, 2025 heralds a return to Marvel Studios’ established rhythm with three major releases. Captain America: Brave New World kicks off this lineup with a release in February, followed by the intriguingly titled Thunderbolts in May, and culminating in the much-anticipated arrival of Marvel’s first family in The Fantastic Four: First Steps later that summer.
Brave New World marks a pivotal chapter in the MCU’s narrative, being the first solo feature where a new character has assumed the titular role. With Chris Evans’s Steve Rogers having exited following Avengers: Endgame, Anthony Mackie’s portrayal of Sam Wilson will now take the helm of this next cinematic journey. Importantly, this film will also address the existing framework of the Avengers and lay the groundwork for their future, as hinted in the promotional materials.
