New Multiplayer Feature Enhances My Time at Sandrock Experience

Overview of Recent Updates

  • Crossplay functionality is now available on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5, enhancing multiplayer capabilities.
  • My Time at Sandrock offers a sandbox-style gameplay experience with the option for four-player cooperation.
  • The latest Love Chronicles DLC expands romantic storylines for single-player engagement.

Exciting news for fans of My Time at Sandrock: the crossplay feature is now implemented for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 versions, providing greater multiplayer accessibility. This functionality has been in use for PC and Xbox Series X/S users since June, raising anticipation for Switch and PS5 players.

The launch of Sandrock Online—the multiplayer component of Pathea Games’ acclaimed farming simulator—occurred on December 19 for Switch players, though the PS5 release was momentarily postponed. Earlier in the year, when the feature debuted on PC and Xbox, developers revealed in a community post that optimization for consoles was still underway. Fortunately, following the December 23 release for PS5, the eagerly awaited crossplay capability was also rolled out on both platforms.

PM Studios, a co-publisher of the game, confirmed the new cross-platform multiplayer feature through a recent trailer. While the single-player mode is predominantly story-driven, Sandrock Online emphasizes a nonlinear, sandbox gameplay style. Up to four players can explore this environment together, undertaking various activities like crafting, combat, and pursuing romantic interests, thereby enhancing their Workshop Reputation.

Is Crossplay Supported in My Time at Sandrock?

  • Yes, crossplay is available across PC, PS5, Switch, and Xbox Series X/S.

The Love Chronicles DLC, which is the latest addition to Pathea Games’ popular farming simulator, has expanded narrative opportunities for four specific bachelors and bachelorettes: Fang, Logan, Mi-an, and Nia. Accompanying the DLC, a free update in October introduced additional romance themes and features for characters such as Amirah, Grace, and others. This update also incorporated new gameplay elements like a bus system and different creatures. Earlier content, the Monster Whisperer expansion, offered new tools tailored for monster hunting, but both expansions are exclusively for single-player gameplay.

In a recent announcement, Pathea Games unveiled its upcoming project, a post-apocalyptic open-world RPG titled My Time at Evershine. Following a successful Kickstarter campaign aiming for $200,000, the project raised an impressive $3 million, signifying substantial public interest and support. This success enables Pathea Games to advance directly to a full release without an Early Access period on Steam, continuing to build on the legacy of the My Time series.
