New Pokémon Coming to Pokémon GO in Holiday Part 2 Event

Pokémon GO has unveiled the details for its much-anticipated second portion of the holiday event. This festive segment will introduce special costumed versions of Wooloo and Dubwool, alongside the debut of shiny Cetoddle. Scheduled to take place from December 22 to December 27, 2024, this event is among the final celebrations that Niantic has planned for the year.

Cetoddle, an Ice-type Pokémon originating from the Paldea region, was introduced in the 2023 holiday festivities. The 2023 event featured a variety of themed Pokémon, aligning with Christmas celebrations, mirroring this year’s approach. Wooloo, first introduced in the August 2021 Pokémon Sword and Shield event, has made a notable impact within the community, alongside other Pokémon like Zacian, Zamazenta, and Falinks. Earlier in September, the game expanded its offerings by introducing shiny and Dynamax variants of Wooloo.

This festive event offers players additional opportunities to earn double XP through Pokémon captures and even more during raid battles. From December 25 into the new year, the Daily Adventure Incense will provide extended duration, enhancing the excitement for trainers. New Field Research tasks and Collection Challenges will also be featured, while a paid Timed Research option priced at $5 promises rewards, including a stylish Wooloo jacket for trainers. The in-game store will unveil two new avatar items, a cozy Staryu and Marshtomp sweater, alongside specially themed boxes available through the web store.
