Details of Shadow Raid Day
Shadow Raids made their debut in 2023, offering a novel gameplay experience for Pokémon GO fans. Players can encounter Shadow versions of Pokémon after defeating Team GO Rocket, with last year’s events featuring notable Shadow encounters, including Shadow Moltres in January and Shadow Mewtwo in August. Notably, the Legendary Bird Ho-Oh returns for this special event, which is a highlight for trainers.
Scheduled for January 19 from 2 PM to 5 PM local time, Shadow Ho-Oh will appear in five-star raids. During this period, players will have heightened chances of encountering a shiny Shadow Ho-Oh. Trainers can earn up to five Raid Passes for free by spinning gyms, and a limit increase to seven can be achieved. Additionally, trainers can utilize a Charged TM to teach Ho-Oh the powerful Charged Attack, Sacred Fire, which boasts a remarkable 130 power in trainer battles and 120 power in raids and gyms.

Moreover, event ticket holders will receive 50% more XP and double Stardust from raid battles, with all bonuses available until 10 PM local time on January 19. Additionally, a $4.99 Ultra Ticket Box will be available, which includes an event ticket and a bonus Premium Battle Pass.
