The series will consist of 13 episodes, making its run relatively brief. The announcement for the anime was made in July 2023, with an initial launch anticipated for 2024, but production delays pushed it back.
Set in 2055, Lazarus delves into the story of Dr. Skinner, a scientist who claims to have created a miraculous drug, which is later discovered to be lethal. To rectify this, a team is formed to pursue Skinner and retrieve the antidote known as Lazarus.
Lazarus is set to stream on Adult Swim.
