Overwatch 2 has captured the attention of gamers with its recent Season 14 updates. Among the highlights is the identical victory pose shared by tank heroes D.Va and Wrecking Ball, recently recognized by players returning to the classic 6v6 format. This season also introduces Hazard, a new tank hero and member of the in-game revolutionary faction, the Phreaks. In addition, Overwatch’s beloved Winter Wonderland holiday event has returned, bringing with it seasonal festivities and exclusive content.
D.Va and Wrecking Ball’s Matching Victory Pose
One player on Reddit, known as palanquin_dva, humorously shared a screenshot of both mech-based tanks striking the same “Peace”pose during a post-match victory screen. In this charming scene, D.Va (Hana Song) and Wrecking Ball’s hamster, Hammond, are both seen relaxing atop their respective mechs and flashing a peace sign. The only distinguishing detail is that D.Va blows a bubblegum bubble, adding a playful twist to her pose.

Introduced to Overwatch in 2018, Wrecking Ball joined the ranks as the second mech hero, following the original launch roster that included D.Va. Wrecking Ball’s pose echoes D.Va’s classic victory stance, paying tribute to her status as a fan favorite and a nod to the game’s roots. Interestingly, although D.Va’s pose appears in one of her animated highlight intros, Wrecking Ball does not have a similar highlight option. It would be intriguing to see new heroes in Overwatch 2 receive victory poses or highlight intros that reflect those of their predecessors, given the similarities many of these characters share.
As Overwatch 2 fans celebrate the launch of Hazard and delve into the holiday events, they are also looking forward to a thrilling collaboration with Avatar: The Last Airbender. This much-anticipated event will introduce new skins for characters including Mei, Venture, Zenyatta, Orisa, Genji, and Kiriko, starting December 17 and running through December 30. While the fate of the classic 6v6 format remains uncertain—whether it will become a permanent arcade addition or recur every few seasons—players continue to enjoy the nostalgic gameplay it offers.
