Palworld Guide: Steps to Obtain the Beam Sword

For players who have explored the vibrant world of Palworld by Pocketpair, the allure of Palpagos is undeniable. The game has captured the attention of many since its electrifying debut in January 2024, primarily due to its blend of mythical creatures and thrilling challenges. To navigate the diverse obstacles scattered across various islands, players must not only harness powerful Pals but also equip themselves with unique and formidable weapons to enhance their gameplay experience.

Among the exciting additions introduced in the Feybreak DLC is the Beam Sword, an energy saber that has emerged as a highly coveted item. If you wish to enhance your arsenal with this stunning weapon, it is essential to understand the steps required for its acquisition.

Crafting the Beam Sword in Palworld

To create the Beam Sword, players must first craft it at their Pal base. This process begins by unlocking the recipe schematic, which can be accessed via the Technology menu. You’ll find the Beam Sword schematic at Level 57, so advancing to this level will allow you to utilize your Technology Points to unlock the crafting recipe.

Next, ensure you have constructed a fully operational Weapon Assembly Line II or a Production Assembly Line II at your base. Both machines are capable of crafting the Beam Sword, using an identical recipe. Below are the materials required for the construction of this powerful weapon:

Crafting Material

How to Acquire Material

30 x Hexolite

Crafted using a Gigantic Furnace

100 x Paldium Fragment

Gathered from Stone or Paldium boulders or Crusher machine

20 x Nightstar Sand

Collected at night on Feybreak Island or Sand Dunes

5 x Ancient Civilization Parts

Dropped by Alpha Pals in various open world areas or dungeons

Among these materials, Hexolite will be the most challenging to gather. First, you will need to establish a Gigantic Furnace (available at Level 56) at your base. Here’s what you’ll need to construct it:

  • 150 x Plasteel (requires 750 Crude Oil)
  • 100 x Polymer (needs 200 High-Quality Pal Oil)
  • 200 x Flame Organs
  • 20 x Ancient Civilization Parts

Once the Gigantic Furnace is operational, you can start producing Hexolite. For this, gather resources such as Chromite (which is best obtained in Feybreak dungeons using the Metal Detector) and Hexolite Quartz, both found on Feybreak Island. Be vigilant of the Anti-Aircraft bases scattered throughout the island as they can eliminate your flying Pals unless dealt with first. Additionally, Ore is readily available across Palpagos, crucial for your crafting needs. Ensure you utilize Pals with Level 3 Kindling or above to efficiently manage the furnace’s demands.

For collecting Nightstar Sand, venture out during nighttime to the designated areas – Feybreak Island and Sand Dunes. Gathering this material does not require specialized tools; your hands are sufficient. Look for the luminous patches on sandy soils, which indicate the presence of Nightstar Sand. Collect as much as you can before dawn breaks.

When you have gathered all the necessary components, return to your Assembly Line II machine and check the Beam Sword schematic. If your inventory contains the required materials, you will see the option illuminated. Engage your best Handiwork Pals on the task, and before long, you’ll wield a newly crafted Beam Sword.

This weapon boasts impressive attributes, featuring an astounding 2,000 Attack Power, making it the most potent melee weapon currently available in Palworld. It eclipses other swords, such as the traditional Sword and Katana, alongside the quirky Meowmere blade. The Beam Sword specializes in a swift dash-and-cut attack, adept at decimating Pals within the Level 50 range, assuming you master its use. However, given its melee nature, caution is advised when facing tougher foes like Alpha, Predator, or Legendary Pals—situations where ranged combat may prove more advantageous. Regardless, this weapon adds flair and functionality to any collection.
