Three Unique Mushrooms in The Apex of Filth

Within Path of Exile 2, players can find three essential Mushrooms: the Red Mushroom, the Blue Mushroom, and the Green Mushroom. These unique items can only be obtained as random drops from enemies located in a specific game zone.

As you advance to the midpoint of Act 3, you will access The Drowned City, which leads you to a critical area known as The Apex of Filth. Here, players are encouraged to defeat various enemy packs to increase their chances of acquiring all three Mushrooms quickly.

It’s important to note that each Mushroom occupies space in your inventory. Therefore, ensure you have adequate inventory space before collecting them. As quest items, these Mushrooms cannot be sold or stored, meaning players must gather all three and deliver them promptly to free up space.

Locate the Gentle Crone in The Apex of Filth

Path of Exile 2 Mushroom Quest Cauldron Keeper The Gentle Crone

Once you have collected the Red, Blue, and Green Mushrooms, continue exploring the outskirts of The Apex of Filth. Eventually, you will encounter a seemingly friendly Crone-like character.

The Cauldron Keeper is docile and does not pose a threat. Situated near a large Cauldron, she can be interacted with. If you possess all three Mushrooms, click on the Cauldron to deposit them. Shortly after, the Cauldron Keeper will bestow upon you a high-level Mana flask and a high-level Life flask in return for your efforts.

The items granted are usually of Magic quality, although players might receive a Rare item from this unmarked quest.

Completing this quest not only allows players to reap these benefits but also unlocks the friendly Crone as a vendor. You can sell any surplus items you may have collected for quick Gold, thus clearing your inventory for your continuing adventure through The Apex of Filth in Act 3.
