The highly anticipated remake of Silent Hill 2 by Bloober Team is just around the corner, with reviews expected to be released on October 4th. To help pass the time, fans can indulge in the hauntingly beautiful soundtrack, composed by the legendary Akira Yamaoka. Konami has shared a preview on YouTube, offering nearly 50 minutes of nostalgic melodies, though these are not complete tracks.
While many melodies will resonate with long-time fans, Yamaoka has also introduced new arrangements, such as the reimagined “Theme of Laura 2.” Furthermore, fans can look forward to original compositions. For those residing in Japan, a special 3-CD set featuring tracks selected by the composer will be available for purchase upon its release on November 20th.
For players outside of Japan, the Silent Hill 2 remake will be available on October 8th for PS5 and PC. Digital Deluxe edition owners will enjoy two days of early access, which also includes the digital soundtrack along with an artbook, Pyramid Head Mask, Mira the Dog Mask, and the base game.
