Fans of the *Dead Rising* franchise have plenty of reasons to celebrate recently, as Capcom’s zombie-fighting series has returned after a long break with the release of *Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster*. The remaster has received strong critical acclaim, suggesting that the series may have a promising future ahead, potentially including more remakes. Interestingly, this is something Capcom is also contemplating.
In a recent interview with Inverse, producer Kei Morimoto mentioned that remaking or remastering *Dead Rising 2* is “definitely possible.” Morimoto explained that Capcom is closely monitoring the sales performance of the newly released *Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster*. Should favorable conditions arise, a revival of the second installment of the series may be on the table.
“Remaking or remastering *Dead Rising 2* is definitely possible,” Morimoto remarked. “For now, we’re looking at market trends and how well *Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster* is doing. If we can pinpoint a suitable time to launch a remake or remaster of *Dead Rising 2*, it’s a project we might consider.”
*Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster* is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
