Production Starts for Sean “Diddy” Combs True-Crime Series on Investigation Discovery

Following his indictment on various charges this past Tuesday, Sean “Diddy”Combs is set to be the central figure in a new true crime docu-series by Investigation Discovery. Known for its captivating programs in the true-crime genre, the network has revealed plans for a multi-part series centered on the rise and fall of Diddy.

The docu-series is currently untitled but is slated to debut in 2025 on ID, with additional availability on Max. The series intends to highlight the voices of the victims through key interviews and archival footage.

The upcoming true crime docu-series about Sean Combs will be produced for Investigation Discovery by Maxine Productions and IPC, in partnership with Rolling Stone Films. More information regarding the project is anticipated shortly.

What We Know So Far About the Sean “Diddy”Combs Docu-Series from ID

As the project is in its preliminary stages, specific details about the series remain sparse. ID announced the docu-series soon after Combs’ indictment on Monday night, amidst a long list of allegations.

According to a press release from ID, the documentary will delve into:

“The rise and influence of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and the allegations of violent behavior and illegal activity that have followed the music mogul. As claims of sexual assault, abusive conduct, and other alarming accusations emerge, the doc traces the narrative of this self-proclaimed Bad Boy, revealing claims of a habit of misconduct.”

The network emphasized its commitment to focusing on the rapper’s victims, stating in the press release that the docu-series will provide:

“Insight into the unfolding allegations against the once untouchable superstar. It will also underscore the toxic power dynamics within the industry that silenced many survivors for years – until now.”

Rolling Stone is expected to furnish the archival footage utilized to illustrate Diddy’s life leading up to the emergence of these allegations.

What Allegations Are Directed at Sean “Diddy”Combs?

Sean Combs faces a myriad of allegations that extend beyond sexual abuse, including claims of kidnapping, drugging, and coercing women into sexual acts, occasionally via the use of firearms and threats of violence.

In 2023, Casandra Ventura publicly accused him by filing a civil lawsuit asserting that he abused, coerced, and assaulted her throughout their decade-long relationship. This lawsuit also alleged that Combs vandalized rapper Kid Cudi’s vehicle.

This year, additional allegations emerged, including a claim from a woman alleging she was assaulted by Combs as a minor, as well as hotel surveillance footage showing Combs physically assaulting Cassandra Ventura.

After numerous such allegations, Diddy was arrested in his Manhattan hotel room on September 16, 2024. He has pleaded “not guilty”and is currently in custody.
