The highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6 may feature actor Johnny Ray Gill as part of its cast. In a recent discussion, Gill alluded to his potential role in the game, which has excited many fans. His history with Rockstar games includes voicing various pedestrians in GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2.
Despite the excitement, Rockstar has yet to officially confirm any voice actors associated with the new installment of the series. Following the reveal of the game’s trailer in December 2023, speculation arose surrounding Manni Perez as the possible voice for the game’s main character, Lucia.
Johnny Ray Gill: A Familiar Face in Rockstar Games
In a December 13 interview with Check It TV, Gill, known for his leading role in Amazon’s series Cross, playfully hinted at a new collaboration with Rockstar Games. He stated, “Stay on the lookout, you know, I can’t say anything, but there’s another situation happening, you know, in that [GTA] world, that may be coming out in 2025–2026, that I’m really happy about,”all while winking at the camera, suggesting insider knowledge about the game’s developments.

Gill’s Rockstar Journey Continues
Should GTA 6 feature Gill, it would mark his third credit with Rockstar, following his contributions to other iconic titles. Interestingly, before these roles, Gill’s only other video game credit was with the 2009 browser MMO, Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall.
In addition to Gill and Perez, actor Gregory Connors has emerged as a possible participant in the game, with previous reports highlighting a role linked to a Rockstar project expected to debut in 2025. Although Connors’s online resume has since been removed, it indicated a “lead”position, further elevating the anticipation surrounding GTA 6.
Marking a year since the initial reveal trailer, December 5 came and went without any new visuals from Rockstar. The studio has maintained a targeted launch window for GTA 6 in 2025, even as Take-Two Interactive recently specified a fall timeframe. Although Gill’s comments suggest exciting developments, it’s important not to assume any delays are imminent without official clarification from Rockstar. Any changes in the game’s schedule would likely not be known to actors involved.
