The Circle Season 7 Episode 5 Recap: More on Disruptor Mode and the ‘Make Out, Marry, Murder’ Challenge
Madelyn and Rachel’s Disruptor Mode
The Circle Season 7 Episode 5 commenced with the aftermath of the previous episode. In Episode 4, contestants were granted the opportunity to enter disruptor mode, resulting in two disruptors being chosen this time.
From the four contestants vying for the power, Madelyn and Rachel were chosen as the disruptors. Both contestants switched profiles and had to impersonate each other until the next elimination.
To succeed without raising suspicions, they devised a strategy to maintain their original personas while mirroring the style of their fellow alliance member. Madelyn and Rachel collaborated on their game plan, deciding to function as a team moving forward.
Private Chats
Using Rachel’s profile, Madelyn engaged in a private conversation with Kevin. Since Madelyn and Rachel had previous conflicts, she aimed to reconcile their differences.
Through Rachel’s account, Madelyn expressed to Kevin that she had misjudged him and emphasized the importance of starting anew. In response, Kevin, believing he was chatting with Rachel, admitted to having misjudged her as well and expressed his desire for a fresh start, effectively putting their feud on hold.
In another part of the episode, Jadejha and Garret shared their personal stories. Garret opened up to Jadejha about his struggles with an “eating disorder,”while she recounted her challenging childhood experiences, including being homeless and raised in a group home.
Jadejha revealed:
“I was homeless for a period of time before I went to a group home. I knew I couldn’t return to the various forms of abuse and violence I had experienced growing up. #ButImStillHere”
The pair developed a strong connection following their heartfelt exchange.
Make Out, Marry, Murder Challenge
In Episode 5 of The Circle Season 7, a new challenge titled “Make Out, Marry, Murder”was introduced. Contestants were tasked with selecting another contestant to place in each of the categories: “Make Out,””Marry,”and “Murder.”
Andy surprised everyone with his selections—he chose to make out with Madelyn, marry Kevin, and murder Rachel. Madelyn expressed her frustration at his choice to marry Kevin instead of her, while Gianna became a popular choice among contestants for the “Make Out”category.
Gianna opted to make out with Andy, marry Darian, and murder Kevin, implementing a strategy to disrupt the boys’ alliance by stirring up tension among them. Kevin had his own plans and chose to make out with Madelyn, marry Rachel, and murder Gianna to retaliate against Gianna’s earlier decision.
This challenge concluded with a wedding-themed gathering, leading to some awkward moments for Darian, who had to clarify his choices. Ultimately, both Gianna and Jadejha selected Darian for marriage, leaving him caught in the middle. He strategically claimed that Jadejha was his top priority.
