Wendy of Red Velvet Withdraws from SM Entertainment’s 30th Anniversary Concert

In a recent announcement, Wendy, the renowned member of Red Velvet, has officially confirmed her withdrawal from the highly anticipated “SMTOWN LIVE 2025 in SEOUL”concert. The news was revealed on January 6th through the ticketing platform, Melon Ticket.

Details of the Cancellation

The announcement stated, “Red Velvet’s Wendy will not be appearing at SMTOWN LIVE 2025 in SEOUL for personal reasons.“Following the announcement, SM Entertainment expressed their apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused. They highlighted that ticket cancellations and refunds would be processed without any cancellation fee through customer service.

Following the Trend of Cancellations

Wendy’s decision to pull out aligns with a similar announcement from Taeyeon of Girls’ Generation, who previously shared her intentions to miss the concert during a live stream, before the official statement was made by her label.

Exciting Lineup for the Concert

The SMTown concert is set to take place at the iconic Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul on January 11 and 12. Fans can still look forward to a diverse lineup of SM Entertainment artists, including:
