Release Window, Cast, Plot, and More for ‘Iron Man and His Awesome Friends’

While Iron Man isn’t the most kid-friendly superhero, he’s set to star in his own children’s animated series! Titled Marvel’s Iron Man and His Awesome Friends, this new show is scheduled to premiere next year on Disney Jr and Disney+. As suggested by its title, Tony Stark won’t be the only hero in the spotlight.

Overview of Iron Man and His Awesome Friends

Tony’s exciting companions feature Riri Williams, also known as Ironheart, and Amadeus Cho, who takes on the role of Iron Hulk. Although Amadeus has not yet appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Riri made her debut in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in 2022, portrayed by Dominique Thorne.

According to an official synopsis reported by Variety, this superhero team, known as the Iron Gang, will possess distinct abilities and suits to combat villains. Tony Stark wields a Nano Shield, Riri features a Heartbeat Bubble adorned with themes of her heart, and Amadeus is equipped with two impressive abilities: an Iron Boom Clap and an Iron Hulk Stomp.

Details about which adversaries the trio will battle are still under wraps; however, we do know that a familiar character will make an appearance—Vision! He’ll be residing in the heroes’ headquarters, dubbed Iron Quarters (or IQ, a nod to their brilliance), accompanied by a new addition to the Iron Man universe—a dog named Gamma, who dons her very own Iron Pup suit. How adorable!

Additional Insights on Iron Man and His Awesome Friends

This series will be brought to life by Disney Jr and Marvel Studios in collaboration with Atomic Cartoons. In terms of the voice cast, Mason Blomberg will bring Tony Stark to life, Kapri Ladd will voice Riri, Aidyn Ahn will portray Amadeus, David Kaye will lend his voice to Vision, and Fred Tatasciore will voice Gamma.
