Following his unexpected disappearance, the accidental mishaps of Dr. Smallwood, played by Eleanor Walker, further compounded the town’s medical uncertainty.
Recently, Harry’s position has remained unchanged throughout season 3, showcasing stability in the chaotic environment of Patience. The removal of Dr. Smallwood for her inconsistent performance has allowed Harry to officially take over as the town’s permanent doctor. Yet, the frequent turnover of physicians that characterized the earlier seasons has seemingly come to a halt. This intriguing narrative angle, which captivated audiences in the first two seasons, deserves a revival in season 4.

With the townspeople united against the looming extraterrestrial threat, Harry’s need for human camouflage will diminish, and he will likely confront greater responsibilities than merely attending to the town’s medical needs in the next season.
