Woollim Entertainment Announces Contract Terminations for Rocket Punch and Golden Child
In a significant development in the K-pop industry, Woollim Entertainment has confirmed the termination of exclusive contracts with two of its active groups, Rocket Punch and Golden Child. This announcement came on December 27 and marks a pivotal moment for both artists and their fans.
Rocket Punch, which previously was a six-member girl group, will now continue as a five-member entity following the mutual agreement of members Yeonhee, Yunkyoung, Sohee, and Dahyun to conclude their contracts. Suyun is the sole member choosing to remain with Woollim, reflecting a major shift for the group since Takahashi Juri’s departure earlier in May 2024 after her contract expired.
Similarly, Golden Child—who had already faced departures from Bomin, Tag, and Jibeom in August—will see their remaining members also part ways, with only Jangjun and Joochan electing to extend their contracts. This transition is indicative of the evolving dynamics within the group since their debut in 2017.
