Russell Brand faced a career downfall in 2023 following a collaborative investigation by Channel 4’s Dispatches and The Times, which revealed several allegations of rape and sexual abuse against him.
The revelations were astonishing, and suddenly Brand was stripped of his platform for sharing various conspiracy theories and controversial ideas. In need of a new avenue, he pivoted to align himself with the born-again Christian movement. This shift has turned him into a blatant opportunist, attracting primarily a right-wing and easily influenced audience. Sadly, this demographic remains sizeable.
Nevertheless, it’s hoped that even his supporters might be dissuaded by his peculiar TikTok promotional video featuring a “magical amulet from Airestech.” This company claims to offer “bio-protection” against electromagnetic fields, which raises questions if they are struggling for visibility since Brand is their spokesperson.
The advertisement can only be described as “unhinged.” Brand appears from behind a hedge, stating he’s “back from Narnia,” and continues with, “As you know, airports are filled with Wi-Fi and all sorts of harmful energies. Just think about all the phones around, sending signals that are both corruptible and corrupting.” It’s quite hypocritical for him to discuss corruption while endorsing Donald Trump.
He proceeds to lift a suitcase several times, claiming the amulet has made him “more powerful,” urging his obviously bewildered audience to get one too, especially if they are traveling to an airport since “those places are inundated with dangerous signals.” What can one even say in response?
Since the ad went live, social media has been a frenzy of mockery directed at Brand, with users highlighting that he is wearing a Wi-Fi microphone during the promotion. So much for protection from evil energies.
Russell Brand trying to sell a $239.99 amulet that will protect you from Wi-Fi even as he prominently wears a Wi-Fi microphone? is quite the grift https://t.co/9HnKZxGlt8

The specific item Brand is promoting is the Lifetune Flex, priced at $239.99, and its effectiveness is questionable. One can only hope he soon faces financial struggles and can no longer afford such items.
