Throughout various missions, players will often encounter overwhelming enemy hordes, making the Grenade Launcher an essential addition to your arsenal alongside traditional grenades. Although this particular Bolter operates uniquely, the benefits of using its Grenade Launcher are substantial. Here’s a thorough guide on how to utilize this powerful weapon.

Updated on December 30th by Joshua Leeds: The capabilities of weapons featuring Grenade Launchers are impactful, yet only select models can embrace this attachment. The Grenade Launcher is a unique attachment available exclusively for the Bolt Rifle With Grenade Launcher. To operate it, aim down sights and then press the right joystick on consoles or the mouse wheel on PC. If you have customized your controls, this action corresponds to your zoom function while aiming, which will enable Titus to angle the weapon appropriately, switching to the Grenade Launcher setup.

While in Grenade Launcher mode, you can only launch grenades, and you’ll need to press the same button again to revert to standard Bolter firing. Notably, these grenades boast slightly reduced power compared to traditional Frag Grenades but are effective against nearby Gaunts. The projectiles are fired in a slight arc, requiring distance adjustments, and importantly, you will use a separate supply of grenades for the Launcher.

Although some Bolt Rifle variants include a scope, the Grenade Launcher does not support this feature, prioritizing explosive capabilities instead. You commence with five grenades, and replenishment is straightforward. In Operations mode, you automatically receive the maximum grenade capacity specific to your Bolt Rifle variant at the start of each mission.

Acquiring More Grenade Launcher Grenades

Since the Grenade Launcher utilizes a different type of ammunition compared to standard grenades, replenishing your supply is simple—just refill at:

  • Ammo Boxes

Initially, ammo caches provided access to Grenade Launcher Grenades; however, a game update revised this, confining replenishment to Ammo Boxes to balance gameplay. When interacting with ammo boxes, you will now receive “Aux. Grenades,” specifically designed for the Grenade Launcher. Gaining an extra three Aux. Grenades from a single ammo box enhances the weapon’s effectiveness during intense battles, particularly against swarming enemies like Gargoyles targeting an Antenna.

Weapons Featuring Grenade Launchers

As of now, only the Tactical Class possesses access to the basic Bolt Rifle, making it the sole weapon eligible for the Grenade Launcher attachment. This weapon can be discovered sporadically throughout the campaign, but in Operations mode, usage remains exclusive to the Tactical Class. Players can upgrade the Bolt Rifle using Armory Data and should focus on acquiring the following variant:

  • Salvation of Bakka With Grenade Launcher

Each Bolt Rifle variant generally exhibits slightly diminished stats. It’s essential to recognize the implications of the Grenade Launcher when selecting your firearm, even though its statistics do not appear in the weapon stats menu during selection. Every rarity level includes a version of the Bolt Rifle equipped with a Grenade Launcher, allowing players to utilize this powerful tool throughout their Tactical play.
