The company is celebrated for legendary franchises, including Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, and Kingdom Hearts, all of which are now represented in its latest retail establishment.

The Square Enix Garden Official Goods Shop officially opened its doors on December 19, within the vibrant Shibuya Sakura Stage multipurpose complex. The announcement was made via the Square Enix Official Goods Twitter account. Located on the third floor of the POP @P SPACE -SHIBUYA- area, this store features a wide assortment of items, including CDs, action figures, hoodies, keychains, pins, and plush toys. A highlight of the shop is its remarkable sculptures of fan-favorite characters like Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy 7 and the beloved slime from Dragon Quest.
Esteemed game director Toshiyuki Itahana, known for his character designs in Final Fantasy 9 and the Crystal Chronicles series, attended the shop’s opening and shared his experience on social media, further elevating the store’s profile.

Looking ahead to 2024, Square Enix has an exciting lineup of releases, which includes:

The company disclosed that from April to September, net sales had decreased by 8.4% compared to the previous year. Conversely, it reported an impressive 22.1% rise in overall operating income, highlighting that merchandise sales alone surged by 14.7% year-on-year, attributed to high demand for character-driven products.
