In the Stalker universe, Pripyat stands out as a legendary location, especially in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl. Typically, players are required to progress through significant late-game missions to reach this area, which may demand a considerable time investment due to the extensive campaign. However, there’s an efficient method to access Pripyat early, enabling exploration and the unlocking of its base for convenient fast travel.
Entering Pripyat Early in Stalker 2
To successfully access Pripyat ahead of schedule in Stalker 2, players should navigate to the Yaniv region, situated in the northwest corner of the map. This area may be familiar to players who collected the Weird Bolt artifact within the Tornado anomaly. To proceed, locate the train shed that features an open carriage as indicated in the accompanying map.
Vaulting Over the Train to Access Jupiter Region
Executing this phase requires agility and skill, as you’ll need to employ some parkour maneuvers to vault over the train carriage, thus gaining entry to Jupiter. The steps are as follows:
- Scale the cinder blocks positioned in front of the open train carriage.
- Jump onto the slim metal fence located directly behind the carriage; mastering this jump may require several tries.
- Use the fence as a launchpad to leap into the gap between the carriages adorned with barbed wire. Aim for the left side of the gap for a better landing; targeting the center could result in falling back down. This maneuver may take multiple attempts until your character successfully occupies the gap.
- After achieving success in the gap, ascend to the top of the adjacent carriage and drop down to enter the Jupiter region of Stalker 2.
Navigating to Pripyat from Jupiter
After establishing yourself in the Jupiter region, follow the path indicated in the above images to seamlessly transition into Pripyat. As you arrive, keep following the road until encountering the Palace of Culture base, which will be located on the left side of your route, just past the Shopping Mall.
Unlocking the Palace of Culture Base
To facilitate easier entry and exit from Pripyat, it’s essential to unlock the base. Once you locate the Palace of Culture, proceed inside and ascend the stairs to trigger the unlocking process. Here, players can interact with the vendor known as Bolero the technician and, importantly, the guide named Telegraph. This guide provides a means to exit the Pripyat region without the cumbersome trek back on foot, effectively turning Pripyat into a fast travel hub accessible to other guides.
Moreover, inside the Palace of Culture, you can find a bed for resting and a storage area for your items. As one of the late-game zones, Pripyat is populated with high-quality loot, and its vendors are known for offering some of the finest equipment available in Stalker 2.
