During your expedition to the Rostok base in STALKER 2, you’ll encounter the Barkeep underground, who assigns a critical search and rescue mission for Skif. A gang of bandits has established a hideout in the Red Forest, preying on Freedom members and causing significant disruptions to trade. The journey to Red Forest is quite extensive, requiring you to traverse a considerable distance on foot, and you’ll face numerous bandits within their camp, making the task challenging.
Finding the Missing Group (Optional)
Finding the missing group is a secondary objective, yet it’s advisable to prioritize this task. Identifying them first will facilitate an easier infiltration into the bandit camp. Head towards the warehouse where the group was last seen.
Upon arrival, you’ll discover the lifeless bodies of the group, which you can loot for useful items. Enter the warehouse and navigate to the left to locate a locker room housing a wounded survivor named Carl. Administer a medkit to revive him, and he will provide Skif with a key to the tunnels.
Getting Inside the Bandit Base in Red Forest
To enter the tunnels, ascend the stairs adjacent to the locker room, and traverse the walkway leading to the opposite side of the warehouse. You will find a hole in the ground with a ladder. Carefully descend this ladder to reach the tunnel entrance.
The tunnels are rife with toxic fumes, necessitating that you crouch throughout to minimize damage. As you navigate through, you’ll spot a ladder that elevates to a higher tunnel section. Ascend this ladder and dispatch the bandit stationed above. Progressing forward will guide you to the tunnel’s exit and into the bandit camp.
Eliminating All Threats in the Bandit Base
Entering the bandit camp will immediately thrust you into combat. Position yourself strategically behind cover to shield Skif from fast-moving bullets, as enemies will be shooting from multiple angles. After neutralizing the bandits, brace for a confrontation with a formidable Pseudogiant.
The Pseudogiant exhibits high health and can significantly stagger Skif with its attacks. A practical approach is to ascend one of the containers and attack the Pseudogiant from a secure distance. Once the threat is eliminated, consider removing the electronic collar from the mutant (optional). Proceed towards the back of the bandit camp.
You’ll notice some large stacks of boxes that can assist you in ascending to the top office of the Bandit Camp. Utilize the pipes attached to the building to enter through the window, where you can finally overpower the last standing bandit. Completing this task will mark the “Just Business” side mission as finished, allowing you to return to the Barkeep at Rostok for your well-deserved rewards.
