Understanding Marnie’s Gift Preferences
In order to win Marnie’s favor, players should understand the gifts that will resonate with her. Notably, any gift given on her birthday, which falls on Fall 18th, will yield eight times the usual friendship points. Below is a breakdown of the gifts Marnie appreciates.
Gifts Marnie Loves
To gain 80 friendship points with Marnie, players should prioritize the following items, especially to present on special occasions:

On the 3rd of Fall, Marnie will send the player a letter requesting a bunch of Amaranth — a favorite treat for her cows. Completing this task will reward the player with 500g and an increase of one heart in friendship.
To fulfill the request, players can purchase Amaranth Seeds for 35g at Pierre’s store, with a growing period of seven days using a scythe for harvest.
Marnie’s Request
Once players reach three hearts in friendship, Marnie will ask for a Cave Carrot to aid in training her goats. This request grants 100 friendship points and features an endearing cutscene of a goat learning a trick.
Cave Carrots can be found in the Mines by digging with a Hoe.
Friendship Perks with Marnie
Building friendship with Marnie comes with several benefits, including recipes that she sends as players reach specific heart levels.
- Pale Broth: Received at three hearts. A profitable dish that requires two White Algae, restoring 125 Energy and 56 Health.
- Rhubarb Pie: Gifted at seven hearts, restores 215 Energy and 96 Health; requires Rhubarb, Wheat Flour, and Sugar to prepare.
Moreover, players may receive 30 Hay from Marnie in the mail, proving especially valuable during winter when farmer’s might struggle to feed livestock.
