BELIFT LAB’s rookie boy group, ENHYPEN, arrived in Italy for the highly anticipated 2024 Milan Fashion Week on September 19. Upon landing at Milan airport, the popular boy band was quickly surrounded by a mob of fans, leading to chaotic scenes. Multiple videos circulated on social media, showing fans allegedly pushing against the group members in an attempt to get closer to them.
ENHYPEN is celebrated for its impressive discography and striking visuals. Their role as PRADA ambassadors fueled excitement among fans globally regarding their appearance at the prestigious fashion event. However, the recent footage has sparked outrage among many online users, who voiced concerns about the safety and mental well-being of the boys while navigating through the overwhelming crowd.
One Engene (the official name for ENHYPEN’s fanbase) expressed frustration on X, criticizing the recklessness of fans at the Milan airport:
“I hope the people in the video who were shoving and pushing with their cameras feel ashamed. I’m tired of reminding everyone to be careful and respect their space; it should be normal. These people are literally stalkers and mobbers. They should never be called engenes.”
Engenes expressed their disillusionment and emphasized that they do not recognize such fans as part of their community. Many took the opportunity to remind others about the importance of ENHYPEN’s safety.
“I’m so disappointed because this happened in my country. These are not even real engenes. We’ve reiterated countless times to avoid such behavior, yet these fake fans refuse to listen. If they could go to the airport, they should just attend the show, which would be safer for everyone,”one fan voiced their disappointment.
“Let’s not generalize. We’ve been battling this type of behavior for a long time. The company must hire bodyguards and take legal action. I’d prefer to use the term ‘mobs’ instead of calling them engenes,”another fan articulated.
“This keeps happening repeatedly, but BELIFT is not taking appropriate action. They need to grow a backbone to protect ENHYPEN,”a different fan contributed.
Others tagged BELIFT LAB, a subsidiary of HYBE, urging them to take immediate measures, including hiring additional bodyguards to ensure the safety of the boy band.
“I genuinely don’t understand the purpose of meeting them at the airport. Do they really think behaving this way will lead the members to hug or propose to them? Just be normal,”one fan commented.
“BELIFT keeps saying they’ll take legal action but does absolutely nothing,”another fan remarked.
“This situation is cringing me out. What are these people doing? And they call themselves engenes as well… Just leave them alone and stop harassing them; it’s not that hard!”one more fan added.

On September 16, 2024, the Japanese entertainment company Aniplex unveiled the trailer for ENHYPEN’s anticipated TV animation series Dark Moon: The Blood Altar on YouTube. Based on the group’s webtoon series and novel from 2022, which features a recurring vampire theme in their music videos, the anime is eagerly awaited by fans.
This new series will be available on Crunchyroll, although an official release date has yet to be announced. Dark Moon was also part of a 2023 collaboration with Korea’s Lotte World Theme Park, where the park’s castle was themed to resemble the academy from the webtoon.
The upcoming anime follows the animated versions of the seven ENHYPEN boys as they attend the exclusive Decelis Academy, a prestigious institution for vampires and werewolves. The storyline focuses on their adventures while residing at Vamfield House under the care of Ms. Marge, providing an in-depth look into their unique lives.
In other news, ENHYPEN released their latest album, ROMANCE UNTOLD, on July 12, 2024, which includes the title track, XO (Only If You Say Yes).
