Suikoden is among the iconic Konami franchises featured in the recent comeback trailer, and while fans have experienced a longer-than-anticipated wait for its revival with Suikoden 1 and 2 HD Remaster: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars, exciting updates continue to emerge as the release date approaches.
During the Tokyo Game Show, Konami unveiled a new trailer where game director Takahiro Sakiyama highlighted the enhancements and updates players can look forward to in this highly-anticipated remaster. Visually, the game boasts redrawn backgrounds and improved visual effects while preserving the beloved pixel art style of the original games. Additionally, gamers can expect the addition of new environmental sound effects, including more realistic footsteps.
In terms of user experience, several new quality-of-life features have been integrated, such as battle fast-forwarding, an auto-battle option, and optimized user interface elements. For a closer look, check out the trailer below.
Suikoden 1 and 2 HD Remaster: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars is set to launch across multiple platforms including PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on March 6, 2024, with pre-orders now available.
