The Circle Fans Share Reactions to Rachel and Madelyn’s Controversial Alliance: “Cruel and Unfun”

The Circle Season 7 recently released episodes 5 to 8 on September 18, following the premiere of its first four episodes on September 11. The competition is heating up as contestants form alliances and devise plans to eliminate one another.

One notable alliance is that of Debbie, who is playing as Rachel, and Madelyn. Their bond strengthened after they disrupted the game in episode 4 and were required to swap identities anonymously. The stakes were high, as if one of them got blocked, the other would also be sent home. To ensure their survival, they had to play strategically.

They set their sights on Heather, disguised as Andy, because Madelyn was his key ally. If Madelyn ranked him low, his chances of remaining in the game would plummet. Rachel rallied Gianna and Tierra to support their #GirlSquad, aiming to evict Andy. This plan executed brilliantly, leading to Madelyn’s top ranking, Rachel as the second-highest, and Andy’s elimination.

Their friendship continued even after their disruptor status ended, as they targeted Darian next, recruiting others to join their mission just as they had with Andy.

Fans of The Circle have flocked to X (formerly Twitter) to express their thoughts on Madelyn and Rachel’s impactful alliance. Some are critiquing their decision to eliminate Madelyn’s so-called #CircleHusband.

“The way that Madelyn & ‘Rachel’ are playing this game is cruel and unfun. I don’t even know if I want to keep watching; it’s uncomfortable,”one fan wrote.

“I love that there’s so much strategy going on this season and not just superficial bullshit. Love Madelyn, Love ‘Rachel,’ Feel bad for ‘Andy’ but man, this is fun,”another fan commented.

“Sitting here watching #TheCircle and I’m getting mad ash… Madelyn & Rachel gmfu!”one viewer expressed.

“So there’s no way Madelyn can see that Rachel is a catfish, damn,”said another.

Some fans of The Circle noted how effectively Rachel and Madelyn operated as disruptors, and how their alliance has become a formidable force in the competition.

“Lol at Rachel fixing her relationship with Kevin. Madelyn did that perfectly for her and Rachel,”an X user commented.

“Madelyn & Rachel being 1 & 2 feels like a reward for being the disrupters lol. I find it hard to believe everyone ranked them 1 & 2, but maybeeee,”another user remarked.

“Rachel and Madelyn are right behind Jordan in the worst Circle characters of history #thecircle #thecirclenetflix just nasty slimy gross women omg,”a critic wrote.

“If Deb/Rachel & Madelyn can get through this, they kind of have a new built-in alliance to keep each other’s secrets safe,”voiced one fan.

How Madelyn and Rachel Strategically Eliminated Andy on The Circle Season 7

Initially not allies, Madelyn and Rachel were forced into collaboration after they became disruptors in The Circle. Their gameplay exceeded that of their original characters, but they faced challenges in coordinating their eviction strategy.

The Circle’s rating round follows a strict rule where the lowest-rated contestant gets blocked directly, rather than the influencer having the final say. Hence, strategic play was essential for their survival, especially since Madelyn was under suspicion of being a catfish.

Madelyn reached out to Debbie (Rachel) with a solid plan to target her strongest ally, Andy. Rachel supported the move, rallying her alliances to do the same and even involving newcomer Tierra in voting against Andy. Their execution was flawless, leading to Andy’s exit.

Episodes 9 and 10 of The Circle Season 7 will be available on September 25 on Netflix.
