Fadam Got Da Juice seemed to reference his question to Minaj regarding Lil Wayne‘s 2025 Super Bowl controversy, a topic she opted not to elaborate on during their conversation. Following the incident, the radio host set his Instagram account to private. The interview with Nicki Minaj took place last week in Cleveland, Ohio, where she discussed her sneakers collaboration with DTLR.

During her interview with Fadam Got Da Juice, Nicki Minaj addressed the topic of unity among Black elites. The radio host asked if she believed there was unity among people. Minaj responded:

“Do we have unity amongst human beings? Like, if it’s eight billion people in the world, imagine thinking all eight billion people gonna get along with each other. I used to be a waitress.”

Continuing, she said:

“It was a bunch of people not getting along in there. I mean, no matter where you go, you’re going to be at odds with people. I think the point, though, is when you get to a place where nothing around you affects what’s inside of you.”

Fadam Got Da Juice also inquired about how issues could be resolved following the controversy surrounding Lil Wayne and the Super Bowl. However, Minaj chose not to go into detail and instead focused on her sneaker collaboration. This point led the host to imply that she was “dodging”his questions.

The reference was to Lil Wayne not being selected to perform at the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show, despite being a native of New Orleans, where the event will take place.

Instead, Kendrick Lamar was announced as the halftime performer, resulting in backlash from numerous hip-hop artists and fans. Jay-Z and his company, Roc Nation, have faced criticism, with Nicki Minaj among the prominent figures voicing dissatisfaction.

On September 10, Nicki Minaj expressed her thoughts via X:

“Denying a young black man what he rightfully put into this game for no other reason but your ego. Your hatred for BIRDMAN, Drake & Nicki got you punishing Lil Wayne?!?!!! LIL WAYNE!!!!!!!!!! THE GOAT?!!!!!!!!!!! Nola what’s good?!!!!!! Eminem stood firm on having 50 Cent come out. A white man. Sh*t sad. House NI***R TINGZ. but it’s GOOD FI DEM!!!!!!! No loyalty? Welp. then ni**az will keep son’ing you!!!!!”

In addition, Minaj criticized Gee Roberson and Jay-Z for their supposed involvement in the decision against Lil Wayne’s performance. She also warned that if “Wayne was to leave this earth right now,”people would regret their choice and insisted that legends should be honored while they are still alive.
