Sean “Diddy”Combs has been denied bail and remains in custody as scheduled by the court
As previously mentioned, Combs will stay in custody until the trial regarding his s*x trafficking accusations begins. According to The Guardian, a judge rejected his lawyers’ request for a $50 million bail package.
The mogul sought home detention with GPS monitoring. However, U.S. District Judge Andrew L. Carter Jr. denied this request, asserting that Combs could tamper with witnesses involved in the case.
The indictment consists of 14 pages citing charges of racketeering conspiracy; s*x trafficking through force, fraud, or coercion; and transportation for the purpose of engaging in prostitution against Combs.
This indictment came approximately six months after federal agents raided his lavish residences. During the operation, agents discovered numerous items, including large quantities of baby oil and lubricant bottles, and a number of firearms. It included statements such as:
“For decades, SEAN COMBS, also known as ‘Puff Daddy,’ ‘P Diddy,’ ‘Diddy,’ ‘PD,’ and ‘Love,’ has abused, threatened, and coerced women and others around him to fulfill his s*xual desires while protecting his reputation and concealing his conduct.”
The indictment detailed graphic allegations of how Diddy allegedly orchestrated “freak-off parties”involving victims of trafficking, along with claims of physical abuse.
According to Deadline, a hearing conference in Judge Tarnofsky’s courtroom is set for September 24, 2024. The outlet further confirmed that, at this time, a trial date for Combs has not yet been established.
