As we approach the end of 2024, Pokemon GO enthusiasts are gearing up for the final Spotlight Hour of the year. This popular mobile game regularly features a variety of events, such as Max Mondays and weekly raids, but the Spotlight Hour stands out as a unique occasion. It not only offers players the chance to catch specific Pokémon but also provides opportunities for shiny encounters and additional rewards.
The weekly Spotlight Hours allow players to earn extra candies, experience points (XP), and even exclusive moves during Community Days. In this guide, we’ll delve into everything you need to know about the upcoming Togetic Spotlight Hour, ensuring you’re fully prepared to maximize your Pokémon-catching experience.
Pokemon GO Togetic Spotlight Hour: Dates and Details
This week’s Spotlight Hour will occur on Tuesday, December 31st, 2024, from 6 PM to 7 PM Local Time. The featured Pokémon is Togetic, a beloved Pokémon from the franchise that many fans will recognize. To make the most of this hour, players should prepare accordingly.
As usual, ensure you have a good stock of Poké Balls, Incense, and Berries, as these items are crucial for successful catches and enhancing your chances of finding a shiny Togetic. Additionally, during this event, players will receive a double XP bonus for evolving Togetic. To maximize this opportunity, gather candy and aim to evolve Togetic multiple times throughout the hour, capitalizing on the XP boost.
Togetic is designated as #176 in the Pokédex and belongs to the Johto region (Generation 2). It serves as a second evolution; starting from Togepi, which evolves into Togetic using 25 candies, followed by Togetic evolving into Togekiss for 100 candies and a Sinnoh Stone. Togetic, a Fairy and Flying-type Pokémon, has notable weaknesses, particularly against Electric, Ice, Poison, Rock, and Steel-type Pokémon (taking 160% damage). It is more resilient against Dark and Grass-type attacks, receiving only 63% damage, while Bug, Dragon, Fighting, and Ground types inflict minimal damage at 39%.
With a maximum Combat Power (CP) of 1931, Togetic features 139 Attack and 181 Defense. The optimal moveset for Togetic includes Fairy Wind and Dazzling Gleam, delivering 8.45 DPS (Damage Per Second) and an impressive 109.60 TDO (Total Damage Output). These moves can benefit from a weather boost during cloudy conditions.
Catching Togetic grants players 5 candies and 300 Stardust per capture, adding further incentive to participate in this Spotlight Hour.
Togetic also comes in a shiny variant. The distinction between the standard and the shiny version is subtle; instead of a red triangle on its chest, the shiny variant features a blue triangle.
Be sure to participate in this exciting Spotlight Hour — it offers a fantastic chance to enhance your Pokémon collection and enjoy the game even more as we close out the year!
