Peacock Expands Its Streaming Lineup in January 2025
In January 2025, NBCUniversal’s Peacock will enhance its reputation as a premier destination for comedy series. Anticipated new additions include the second season of Love Island and a gripping limited series titled Lockerbie: The Search for the Truth, featuring Colin Firth. This adaptation draws inspiration from Jim Swire and Peter Biddulph’s 2021 book, The Lockerbie Bombing: A Father’s Search for Justice. Fans can also look forward to the launch of the third season of The Traitors later that month.
Peacock serves as a versatile platform, offering not only its original programming but also access to acclaimed series from NBC. New television shows debuting on NBC will subsequently be made available on the streaming service. A significant highlight in January is Peacock’s celebration of Saturday Night Live’s 50th anniversary with the four-part original series, SNL50: Beyond Saturday Night. However, viewers may want to take note of a major shift on the horizon: WWE has entered into a 10-year partnership with Netflix, which means that WWE programming will likely transition away from Peacock in 2026.
