1) Small Chainsaw

The Small Chainsaw is arguably the best weapon you can find early in the game and will serve you well throughout Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster. To obtain this weapon, you must defeat the Adam the Clown boss located in Wonderland Plaza.

Prepare for the battle by waiting for a call from Otis at 9 PM on Day 1 regarding an out-of-control ride in Wonderland. Head over to Wonderland Plaza and utilize the rollercoaster terminal to summon the boss. Upon defeating him, you’ll receive two Small Chainsaws.

2) Katana

The Katana is a swift long-range weapon that can efficiently cut through multiple zombies simultaneously. You can find your first Katana inside Colombian Roastmasters, located on the second floor of the mall. Enter the shop, proceed to the back, and jump onto the awning hanging from the ceiling to access the Katana.

This location consistently spawns a Katana, so you can return here to grab a new one whenever your current one wears out. The Katana inflicts increased damage to Psychopaths and serves as an excellent tool to create distance from zombie hordes.

The Mannequin Torso is another terrific early-game weapon available shortly after you finish the tutorial. After the tutorial, you’ll find yourself in a security room where you’ll need to save the remaining survivors in Dead Rising.

Exit through the vent and take the elevator down. Once the elevator doors open, you’ll encounter several Mannequins on the ground. Grab one and smash it to break it apart. The Mannequin Torso can then be equipped as a weapon.

4) Submachine Gun

The Submachine Gun is another powerful weapon you can acquire early in Dead Rising, though it requires some platforming to reach. It can be found on the second floor of Paradise Plaza. Reach it by jumping over the blue awning near the staircase to the upper level, then leap onto the railings by the stairs and make another jump to grab the Submachine Gun.

Much like the Katana, this location serves as a permanent spawn point, allowing you to collect a new Submachine Gun each time your previous one is damaged or when you reload a new game save of Dead Rising.
