The Workshop Battle has commenced, and Team Sweet and Sour faces daunting challenges, not least of which is Miseng’s sudden and violent outburst of power. To succeed, each participant must insert a baton-like flag into one of three designated slots on the battlefield, all while fending off rival competitors. With eight players vying for dominance, sheer strength becomes the determining factor for survival.
Miseng’s rampage is fueled not solely by Verdi’s manipulative influence, but also by her deep-seated frustration with her previous helplessness. Fortunately, as the episode progresses, this tumultuous situation reaches a resolution.
Miseng’s Transformation Explained
Verdi’s Power and Its Temptation
The narrative opens aboard the Archimedes, where Prince and Miseng find themselves drawn into Verdi’s ominous world. Prince wakes earlier than Miseng, startled by the juvenile attire he finds himself wearing. Verdi reveals their circumstances, urging them to become her “dolls”in exchange for tremendous power, a proposal that piques their interest due to their current inadequacies in competition.
Verdi presents them with enchanted hair ornaments that, when activated with the phrase “Long live Verdi”repeated thrice, promise the strength crucial to overcoming their initial challenges. However, when Prince attempts to encourage Miseng to play a supportive role, she disregards his caution and embraces the hair accessories, instantly gaining formidable powers. This leads her into a frenzied state where she accidentally harms Prince, whose prior injuries have curiously healed.
Character Development for Team Sweet and Sour
Miseng’s Struggles with Abandonment
This episode centers on the evolving dynamics between Miseng and Prince, both grappling with feelings of inadequacy. Prince’s self-styled persona, “Super Prince,”clashes with his past reliance on others to rescue him. His character growth is put to the test as he takes a stand, attempting to pull Miseng back from her destructive path while confronting the lingering effects of Verdi’s influence.
As the battle intensifies, the opportunity for character development shines through. Miseng’s initial reliance on Verdi’s power stems from years of feeling inadequate and powerless in enhancing Team Sweet and Sour’s combat capabilities. In a dramatic turn of events, Prince uses the Triple Stopper technique, momentarily creating a barrier against Miseng’s ferocity. However, it’s only through a clever maneuver—utilizing a light-imbued rope—that he is able to immobilize Miseng, ultimately leading to a path of redemption.
Together, they confront the shadows of their pasts, particularly Miseng’s traumatic experience of abandonment when her parents and former allies left her feeling discarded. After her heartfelt plea to Prince, promising to enhance her strength, the team rallies together when Ja Wangnan declares his intention to confront FUG, catching Viole’s attention from the sidelines. Though the development between Prince and Miseng is engaging, the resolution occurs too swiftly, overshadowing its importance in the episode.
