The much-anticipated trailer for The Office Australia was unveiled on September 18, 2024, by Prime Video. This comedy series stars Felicity Ward as Hannah Howard, the managing director of Flinley Craddick, a packaging company based in Sydney.

The Office Australia marks the 13th international adaptation of the beloved mockumentary-style comedy series originally created by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant in 2001 for the BBC. Following its debut, the series became a phenomenon, leading to various adaptations, including popular versions in the US, French, German, and Swedish languages.

This latest adaptation, The Office Australia, stands out as the first and only version of the franchise to feature a female lead.

Apart from Felicity Ward’s portrayal of Hannah Howard, this comedy series includes Edith Poor as Lizze Moyle, the receptionist and productivity manager. Steen Raskopoulos plays the role of sales representative Nick Fletcher, while Shari Sebbens takes on the part of his fellow sales rep and romantic interest, Greta King. Additionally, Josh Thomson plays Martin Katavake, the head of human resources.

The ensemble cast also features Susan Ling Young, Jonny Brugh, Zoe Terakes, Lucy Schmidt, Raj Labade, Pallavi Sharda, Jason Perini, and Claude Jabbour. Guest appearances will include actors such as Susie Youssef, Rick Donald, Justin Rosniiak, Chris Bunton, and Carlo Ritchie.

The series will consist of eight episodes, showcasing Hannah’s humorous escapades as she aims to win over her team with her unique leadership style and charm.

The Office Australia is set to premiere on Prime Video on October 18, 2024, and will be accessible in 240 countries and territories around the globe, excluding the United States.

As of May 2024, an official reboot of the American version of The Office has been confirmed. Set to air on Peacock, this new iteration will focus on a struggling newspaper company in the Midwest. Currently, cast members such as Sabrina Impacciatore, Domhnall Gleeson, Melvin Gregg, Chelsea Frei, and Ramona Young have been announced for undisclosed roles.

Additionally, Greg Daniels and Michael Koman will assume the roles of showrunners, while Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant are set to executive produce the reboot.
